Dear Student Services,

Could you please advise the employees at the botanical gardens that a proof of enrolment is a valid means of proving your identity?

I had another embarrassing experience there on Wednesday when I was told that my enrolment certificate does not grant me free access to the botanical gardens. In effect, I was treated like I did not belong to the university because I chose not to carry my smartphone to the botanical gardens. I hope you agree with me that this situation is absurd.

I would be grateful if you would have the botanical garden staff read the official policy on proving your identity without a smartphone: https://students.uu.nl/en/practical-information/enrolment/digital-student-card/frequently-asked-questions

Kind regards,

Victor
