Dear Student Services,

I am writing to follow up on my inquiry from February regarding a physical student card. I currently opt not to carry a smartphone, which makes accessing university facilities—such as the Drift Library and the Botanical Gardens—quite difficult. Following your previous advice, I have been using a printed statement of enrollment which I have kept folded in my wallet. However, this has proven impractical. The paper is quickly deteriorating from being folded and unfolded, and I recently encountered a situation at the Botanical Gardens where staff questioned the document’s validity. While a manager eventually intervened, it was an embarrassing and time-consuming experience. Given these recurring issues with proving my student status to university staff, not to mention external institutions like museums, could you please let me know if there is an alternative process to obtain a physical ID card? Thank you for your assistance.
